A local manufacturing and construction materials company is seeking a dependable Yard Laborer / Yard Team Member to support daily yard operations in Rice Lake, WI. This is a great opportunity for individuals with experience in general labor, construction, landscaping, farming, manufacturing, or other hands-on outdoor roles.

This position is a temporary assignment expected to run through late August or early September, based on production needs. Strong performers may have the opportunity for future employment depending on business needs and available openings.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• Starting at 6:00 AM
• Typical workdays are 8-10 hours
• End times vary based on production needs (typically between 2:00 PM-4:00 PM)
• Overtime may be available

Pay

$20.00/hour

Position Overview

As a Yard Laborer, you will help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient outdoor work environment. This role involves a variety of daily tasks including material handling, equipment support, yard organization, and assisting team members throughout plant operations.

Each day begins with a check-in meeting with the foreman to review priorities and assignments. Duties may change depending on production needs, making this a great fit for someone who enjoys staying active and having variety in their workday.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, and organize concrete products, materials, and supplies
• Operate equipment to move, stack, and retrieve materials
• Assist with loading products for customers
• Support machine operators and production team members
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment
• Assist with inventory organization and material handling
• Guide truck and equipment traffic safely throughout the yard
• Follow all safety, OSHA, and environmental procedures
• Perform additional general labor duties as assigned

Work Environment

This is an outdoor labor position requiring comfort working in:

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting
• Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
• Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday
• Ability to safely follow instructions and operate equipment as needed

Required Work Gear

Candidates must provide:

• Steel-toe or composite-toe work boots
• Work pants suitable for an outdoor industrial environment
