Farm Staff

Location: Vancouver, WA and surrounding farm locations
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established agricultural operation with a long history of producing high-quality fruit products for domestic and international markets. They are seeking dependable and hardworking individuals to join their team as Farm Staff. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for candidates looking to gain hands-on experience in agriculture. No previous farm experience is required—training will be provided.

This position involves physical outdoor work supporting the planting, cultivation, harvesting, pruning, packing, and maintenance of berry crops. Team members work closely with supervisors and team leaders to ensure productivity, quality, and food safety standards are met.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Follow all food safety requirements and Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs).
• Harvest berries safely and efficiently while meeting productivity and quality expectations.
• Demonstrate a strong focus on:

• Assist Field Supervisors with pesticide preparation and application activities.
• Set up, operate, repair, and maintain irrigation equipment.
• Operate tractors and other farm machinery as trained.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on farm equipment.
• Harvest, pack, and load produce into containers for transport.
• Prune blueberry and blackberry plants.
• Assist with general farm labor and other duties as assigned.

• No prior farm experience required; employer will provide training.
• Ability to focus on repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
• Ability to retain training information and apply it consistently.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently while meeting productivity goals.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions for 6–10 hours per day.
• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, squat, stretch, and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to perform physically demanding labor throughout the workday.

Schedule & Compensation

• $18.00 per hour
• Full-Time, Seasonal Position
• Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
• Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required during peak harvest and production periods.
