About the Job

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a well-established Dermatology & Laser Clinic in Olympia, WA, to fill a temporary Insurance Verification Specialist position.

 

This is a great opportunity for an experienced medical office professional who enjoys working behind the scenes to ensure patients receive timely and accurate insurance verification while supporting a busy healthcare team.

 

This temporary position is expected to last up to 12 weeks, although the assignment could end sooner depending on business needs. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with compensation at $25.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage prior to appointments and procedures
• Contact insurance companies to obtain authorizations and verify coverage details
• Review patient insurance information for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
• Document insurance verification information within the electronic medical records system
• Communicate with patients regarding insurance requirements, referrals, and coverage questions
• Work closely with clinical and front office staff to ensure accurate scheduling and billing preparation
• Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive patient information
• Perform additional administrative support duties as needed

What You Bring:
• Previous experience working in a medical office required
• Prior insurance verification experience required
• Knowledge of medical insurance plans, eligibility verification, and prior authorizations
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn electronic medical record systems
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced medical office
• Must be able to pass a background check
