Part-Time General Laborer (On-Call) – $18.00/Hour

Location: Mississauga, ON

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting a Part-Time General Laborer for one of our clients in the furniture industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable and hardworking individual who enjoys physical work, heavy lifting, and providing great customer service.

This is an on-call position with flexible scheduling, offering 2–4 shifts per week and an immediate start.

Job Duties

• Unload furniture and materials from incoming shipments.
• Lift, move, and organize furniture throughout the warehouse.
• Palletize products and prepare items for storage or pickup.
• Assist customers with loading orders and merchandise.
• Handle products carefully to prevent damage.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Perform general warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform frequent heavy lifting throughout the shift.
• Comfortable handling large, bulky, and heavy furniture.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible with availability.
• Previous warehouse, moving, furniture handling, or general labour experience is considered an asset.

Requirements

• CSA-approved safety shoes/steel-toe boots are required.
• Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. or more.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
