Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
Assignment Type: Temporary (Approximately 2 Weeks)

Job Overview

Express Employment Professionals is hiring dependable Production Helpers to assist with building custom wooden shipping crates in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, using basic tools, and working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Build wooden shipping crates for large manufactured products
• Use basic hand tools, including hammers, measuring tapes, and other common shop tools
• Measure materials accurately before assembly
• Follow simple diagrams, layouts, and work instructions
• Prepare completed crates for shipping
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety procedures and supervisor instructions

Qualifications

• Basic experience using hand tools
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure
• Comfortable following written and verbal instructions
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable attendance throughout the assignment
• Able to stand, bend, lift, and work in a production environment
• Previous warehouse, manufacturing, construction, carpentry, or assembly experience is a plus, but not required
