A Maintenance Technician at an apartment complex is responsible for keeping the property safe, functional, and well-maintained. Here’s a clear list of typical duties:

Pay 20/hr.
Part time shift Monday, Thursday and Friday 8 AM - 1:30 PM.  

Core Responsibilities:

• General Repairs
  Fix plumbing issues (leaks, clogged drains), electrical problems (light fixtures, outlets), and appliances (stoves, refrigerators).

• HVAC Maintenance
  Perform routine checks and minor repairs on heating and air conditioning systems.

• Preventive Maintenance
  Inspect and maintain equipment and systems regularly to prevent breakdowns (e.g., testing smoke detectors, changing air filters).

• Painting & Drywall
  Patch holes, repaint walls, and keep interiors looking clean and fresh.

• Carpentry & Fixtures
  Repair doors, cabinets, windows, and other woodwork or fixtures.

• Plumbing & Electrical
  Replace faucets, fix toilets, install light switches, and troubleshoot minor electrical issues.

• Groundskeeping
  Help maintain outdoor areas—trash pickup, snow removal, salting walkways, occasional landscaping support.

• Unit Turnovers
  Prepare units for new tenants (cleaning, painting, repairs, replacing locks, etc.).

• Emergency Response
  Be available for on-call shifts to respond to urgent maintenance needs outside of business hours.

• Safety & Compliance
  Ensure work complies with building codes and safety standards.
