Press Assistant / Press Helper (Label & Packaging Printing)

Pay: $20.00/hour
Shift: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
Training Schedule: First Shift, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Location: South Phoenix

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Press Assistant to join our label and packaging printing team. This role supports Press Operators by helping set up, run, and maintain printing presses while ensuring the pressroom stays clean, organized, and production-ready. Responsibilities

• Assist Press Operators with setup, operation, and maintenance of printing presses for label and packaging production jobs
• Keep the pressroom clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary materials and supplies
• Help monitor inventory and assist with ordering parts and supplies as needed
• Complete basic production paperwork and job documentation accurately
• Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures
• Support team members and assist in other production-related tasks as needed

Qualifications

Required

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended shifts
• Good hand dexterity and attention to detail
• Strong eyesight and ability to distinguish print quality, colors, and measurements
• Basic math and reading skills, including working with measurements and job specifications
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with various departments and personalities
• Customer-service mindset with a team-oriented approach

Preferred

• Previous experience in printing, manufacturing, production, or mechanical environments
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
