Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring Packaging Line Operators for a growing metal manufacturing facility in the Melrose Park area. What You'll Do

As a Packaging Line Operator, you'll play a key role in preparing finished products for shipment while supporting daily production operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Review work orders and verify the correct material by weight, size, alloy, and quality.
• Select and prepare finished products according to customer packaging specifications.
• Operate sit-down forklifts to transport materials throughout the production facility.
• Use hand tools and production equipment including:
  • Automatic banding machines
  • Shrink wrap equipment
  • Core cutting machines
  • Nail guns
  • Circular saws
• Properly label and identify finished materials while completing required production documentation.
• Organize completed orders for shipping and staging.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Assist other production departments as needed to support daily operations.

What We're Looking For

• Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Experience operating a sit-down forklift is highly preferred.
• Comfortable using basic hand tools and production equipment.
• Ability to read work orders and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the shift.
• English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Dependable, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
