Job Summary

A growing manufacturing company in Georgetown is seeking an experienced Weekend MIG Welder to join its fabrication team. This position is responsible for producing high-quality welds on metal components while following engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong TIG welding experience, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in producing clean, precise welds in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Location: Georgetown, TX
Pay: Competitive – Based on Experience
Schedule: Weekend Shift (Friday–Sunday or depending on production needs) 6:00AM - 6:00PM 

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and engineering drawings.
  • Fit, tack, weld, grind, and finish fabricated parts to customer specifications.
  • Inspect completed welds for quality, appearance, and dimensional accuracy.
  • Operate grinders, hand tools, and other fabrication equipment.
  • Perform basic fabrication tasks, including drilling, deburring, and material preparation.
  • Maintain accurate production records and follow work instructions.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Report quality concerns or equipment issues promptly.
  • Support production goals while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
  • Experience welding stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience welding thin-gauge sheet metal.
  • Previous manufacturing or production welding experience.
  • Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares.
  • Ability to perform grinding and finishing work to achieve clean, cosmetic welds.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
  • Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Work safely in a manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE, including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, welding helmet, gloves, and hearing protection.
