Job Summary

A well-established manufacturing company in the Cedar Park area is seeking an experienced CNC Saw Operator to join its night shift team. This position is responsible for independently setting up and operating manual and automatic-feed band saws while supporting CNC machining operations. The ideal candidate is quality-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 

Location: Cedar Park, TX
Pay: $23.00–$26.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM (Overtime as needed)

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual, semi-automatic, and automatic-feed band saws.
  • Monitor and operate multiple saws simultaneously while maintaining production and quality standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, routers, and cut lists.
  • Calculate cut lengths and material usage using basic shop math.
  • Adjust blade speeds, feed rates, and cutting parameters based on material type and specifications.
  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using measuring tools such as calipers and tape measures.
  • Verify cut lengths and dimensions meet engineering specifications.
  • Load, unload, and stage materials using overhead cranes or other material-handling equipment.
  • Support CNC lathe and milling operations by ensuring a steady flow of materials.
  • Deburr, clean, polish, and mark finished parts as required.
  • Perform blade changes, routine machine maintenance, and equipment inspections.
  • Complete production documentation and maintain an organized, safe work area.
  • Follow all safety procedures and manufacturing standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing, machining, metalworking, saw operation, or related industrial experience.
  • Experience setting up and operating manual or automatic-feed saws.
  • Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
  • Experience using measuring equipment such as calipers, tape measures, and other inspection tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.

Preferred Experience

  • Operating multiple machines simultaneously.
  • Supporting CNC machining operations.
  • Overhead crane and material-handling equipment.
  • Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Work safely in a manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE, including steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
