Our client in Mentor, OH is seeking a dependable Custodian / Maintenance Worker to help maintain a clean, safe, and functional facility. This position combines general custodial duties with light maintenance responsibilities, including building upkeep, minor repairs, and assisting with day-to-day facility needs. The ideal candidate is hands-on, reliable, and takes pride in maintaining a well-kept environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of offices, common areas, restrooms, and facility spaces
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize, and maintain overall cleanliness
• Empty trash and maintain organized work areas
• Complete light maintenance tasks and general building upkeep
• Assist with minor repairs, adjustments, and facility maintenance needs
• Replace light bulbs, fixtures, filters, and basic building items as needed
• Perform basic plumbing, painting, and repair tasks when needed
• Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance concerns
• Assist with moving materials, furniture, and supplies
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment while following safety procedures

Qualifications

• Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, maintenance, or facilities experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance and repairs
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills a plus
• Ability to perform general repairs, cleaning, and upkeep tasks
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and prioritize daily tasks
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical work throughout the shift
