Welder / Welder Assistant

Pay: $16.00–$25.00 per hour (DOE)

We are seeking a motivated Welder or Welder Assistant to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with welding experience or an individual looking to build a career in metal fabrication and welding. The right candidate will be dependable, safety-focused, and willing to work hard in a fast-paced shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with metal fabrication, welding, and assembly projects
• Read and follow blueprints, drawings, and work orders
• Prepare materials by measuring, cutting, grinding, and fitting components
• Operate welding equipment and shop tools safely
• Clean and maintain work areas, tools, and equipment
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
• Load, unload, and move materials as needed
• Support senior welders with fabrication and installation tasks

Qualifications

• Welding experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
• Basic understanding of fabrication and shop safety practices
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor throughout the day
