  • Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
  • Pay: $18 per hour

Requirements

  • Medical Assistant diploma required
  • Medical Assistant Certification preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Assistant experience
  • Pediatric experience strongly preferred
  • Current hands-on BLS certification
  • Current TB test
  • Reliable, professional, and able to problem-solve

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure they are stocked with pediatric supplies
  • Welcome patients and families, verify demographics, and obtain medical histories
  • Measure and record vital signs, including height, weight, head circumference (for infants), temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation
  • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during pediatric examinations and procedures
  • Administer immunizations, medications, and injections as directed and within scope of practice
  • Perform point-of-care testing, such as rapid strep, influenza, COVID-19, RSV, glucose, hemoglobin, and urine testing
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and perform phlebotomy when required
  • Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)

  • Understanding of infection prevention and OSHA/HIPAA compliance
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
