Grinding

Pay: $19.80/hour

Shift: Swing shift

       Monday–Thursday 3:30 pm-2 am

 

Main Duties

You'll be working in a sheet metal manufacturing shop, including:

• Sanding and deburring metal parts
• Grinding welds smooth
• Possibly performing spot welding
• Operating manufacturing machines
• Assisting with machine setup and tooling
• Assembling metal products
• Cutting, bending, and punching sheet metal
• Packaging finished products for shipment
• Keeping the work area clean and following safety procedures

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Frequent bending, twisting, and standing
• Work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Experience They're Looking For

Preferred qualifications include:

• Sheet metal or metal fabrication experience
• Experience with tools and tool maintenance
• Basic math skills (measurements, fractions, decimals)
• Ability to read work instructions and diagrams
• Reliability and ability to work independently or with a team

Training Opportunities

If hired, you may receive on-the-job training for skilled positions such as:

• Punch press
• TIG/MIG welding
• Press brake
• Mills and lathes
• Hardware installation
• Robotic welding
