Pay: $23.00 per hour - $25.00 per hour

Position Overview

As a Hydraulics Assembler, you'll be responsible for installing, connecting, and testing hydraulic systems on heavy-duty aerial lift equipment. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and hydraulic schematics to ensure each unit is built to the highest quality and safety standards.

What You'll Do

• Install hydraulic components including pumps, valves, cylinders, PTOs, reservoirs, filters, hoses, and fittings
• Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, engineering drawings, and technical manuals
• Fabricate and install mounting brackets and hydraulic hardware
• Assemble hydraulic hoses and ensure all fittings meet cleanliness and torque specifications
• Perform pressure testing, flow testing, and hydraulic system start-up procedures
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic system issues during assembly and testing
• Install related electrical components, including valve wiring and generator connections
• Complete installation documentation, testing records, and timekeeping accurately
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with equipment testing as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3–5 years of hydraulic assembly, hydraulic installation, or hydraulic technician experience preferred
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics and engineering drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and measuring equipment
• Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, or lifting equipment is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work around large truck chassis
• Comfortable climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, and working underneath equipment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• CDL Class B license or the ability to obtain one is a plus
• Willingness to work overtime or flexible hours when production requires
