Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM (currently working overtime until 4:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch)
Job Summary:
Express Employment Professionals in Shawnee is hiring a Shop Hand for a local metal fabrication company. The Shop Hand will assist with daily shop operations, material handling, and supporting fabricators. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities:

Keep work area neat and orderly

Assist with general shop duties, including material prep and clean-up

Safely operate hand tools and assist with equipment
-
Follow written and verbal instructions accurately
-
Work overtime as required

Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Ability to read, write, and follow written/verbal instructions
-
Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

Must be able to accurately read a tape measure

Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. regularly
-
Physically capable of stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy objects

Must be trainable on forklift and overhead crane

Comfortable working in extreme weather conditions

Reliable and hardworking with a willingness to learn
