Driver/Laborer (CDL Class A or B Required)

A Local Township is seeking a dependable and hardworking Driver/Laborer to support township road, maintenance, and public works operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating a variety of equipment, and serving the local community.

Position Details

• Starting Pay: $26.07 per hour
• Pay Increase: Available upon successful completion of the probationary period
• Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Overtime Opportunities: Available for:
  • After-hours projects (volunteer basis when possible)
  • Snow plowing and winter operations
  • Emergency road clearing and storm response

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain township vehicles and equipment
• Perform road maintenance, repair, and construction activities
• Assist with snow removal, storm cleanup, and emergency response operations
• Complete general labor duties as assigned
• Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment
• Work safely and effectively as part of a team

Equipment Operated

Qualified candidates may operate a variety of township equipment, including:

• Dump Trucks
• Bucket Trucks
• Excavators
• Paving Equipment
• Tractors
• Snow Removal Equipment
• Additional heavy equipment as needed

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or Class B license required
• Ability to safely operate heavy equipment and commercial vehicles
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to respond to emergency situations, including snow and storm events
