Express Employment Professionals is recruiting an Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist for a well-established transportation and logistics company in the Guelph area.

Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable & Accounting
- Process customer invoices, account setup, statements, and payment entries.
- Verify invoice accuracy and supporting documentation.
- Monitor outstanding accounts and assist with collections.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
- Complete monthly account reconciliations and support month-end deadlines.
- Maintain accurate financial records through data entry, document scanning, and indexing.
- Perform general accounting and administrative duties as required.
Customer & System Support
- Respond to Accounts Receivable email inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Navigate accounting software, ERP systems, and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Upload invoices and manage billing activity through third-party customer portals.
- Monitor invoice and payment status while meeting customer-specific portal requirements.
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal departments regarding receivable matters.
Team & Process Support
- Work closely with the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams.
- Support continuous improvement of accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) and applicable company procedures.
- Maintain organized documentation and assist with other accounting-related responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Experience in Accounts Receivable, general accounting, or a similar accounting role.
- Strong understanding of invoicing, reconciliations, and collections.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Experience with ERP or accounting software; experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is considered an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
