Mine Equipment Repair Worker Responsibilities

As a Mine Equipment Repair Worker, you will inspect, repair, rebuild, and maintain mining equipment and hydraulic systems used in longwall mining operations. Daily responsibilities include:

• Perform mechanical, hydraulic, and equipment repairs on underground mining equipment

• Diagnose equipment issues and replace worn or damaged components

• Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, voltmeters, ammeters, and diagnostic equipment

• Disassemble and reassemble mechanical components and machinery

• Perform MIG/stick welding, fabrication, and acetylene torch cutting as needed

• Tear down, clean, sort, and organize mining equipment and parts

• Sand, prep, and paint equipment components

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following company safety procedures

Qualifications

We're looking for candidates with experience in one or more of the following:

• Heavy equipment repair

• Mine equipment repair

• Industrial maintenance

• Mechanical repair

• Welding and fabrication

• Machine shop operations

• Hydraulic systems

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of mechanical repair, welding, fabrication, or equipment repair experience

• Experience working with hydraulic systems and components

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to safely use hand and power tools

• Dependable with a strong work ethic
