Hours: 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (1st Shift)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Shipper III to join our warehouse team. This position is responsible for preparing products for shipment, processing orders, maintaining inventory movement, and ensuring all shipments are accurate and completed on time. The ideal candidate has prior shipping experience, is forklift certified (or able to become certified), and thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Essential Job Duties

Retrieve items, process picks using handheld scanners, package parts, and prepare shipments.
Verify quantities and product identification against customer orders.
Assemble wooden and cardboard shipping containers or select appropriate pre-assembled containers.
Label shipments with identifying information and shipping instructions.
Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading.
Record shipment weights and dimensions accurately.
Transfer inventory between buildings and into the shipping area.
Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
Generate shipping labels and truck bills of lading.
Operate forklifts and company vehicles safely to move materials throughout the facility.
Assist with additional warehouse projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Follow all company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of shipping experience.
Forklift experience required and ability to become company forklift certified.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Familiarity with shipping procedures, shipping codes, and documentation.
Ability to perform final shipment verification and create shipping instructions.
Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse systems.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to train and assist other shipping department employees when needed.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
Frequent use of hands for handling, grasping, pushing, pulling, and operating equipment.
Ability to occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and balance.
Regularly lift up to 20 pounds, frequently lift up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ability to work in a warehouse environment and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
