The Hotel Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring guest rooms and common areas meet high standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to motivate and manage a housekeeping team while maintaining efficiency and quality standards.
Lead, supervise, and motivate a housekeeping team of 2–10 employees.
Assign daily cleaning tasks and special projects.
Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
Perform cleaning duties as needed, including guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas.
Train and mentor new and existing housekeeping staff.
Monitor inventory and restock guest room supplies, linens, and amenities.
Assist with laundry operations, including washing, drying, folding, and storing linens when necessary.
Coordinate and perform carpet shampooing and deep-cleaning projects.
Identify and report maintenance concerns and safety hazards promptly.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of housekeeping equipment and supplies.
Enforce housekeeping procedures, sanitation standards, and company policies.
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
Drive the hotel shuttle to and from the airport as needed.
Prior management or leadership experience preferred.
Previous housekeeping, hotel, custodial, or cleaning experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment is a plus.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and move supplies and housekeeping carts as required.
Valid driver's license required.
1+ year of management experience preferred.
1+ year of cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred.
On-site position.
Must be able to commute to the Missoula area.
Regular physical activity required, including lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
