The successful candidate will be comfortable building relationships throughout the organization, maintaining a visible presence on the manufacturing floor, and serving as a trusted resource for employees, supervisors, and leadership. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily operations of the Human Resources department.
  • Partner with managers and employees to provide guidance on employee relations, policies, and HR best practices.
  • Investigate employee concerns and recommend appropriate resolutions.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Coordinate employee orientation, training, and development initiatives.
  • Supervise and mentor HR support staff.
  • Maintain HRIS records, personnel files, and employee documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Process personnel changes including new hires, promotions, transfers, compensation changes, and terminations.
  • Assist in developing and updating employee handbooks, policies, procedures, training materials, and job descriptions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, employee engagement, retention, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Previous HR Manager experience is preferred, but experienced HR Generalists are encouraged to apply.
  • Manufacturing or industrial HR experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting a union workforce is a plus.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or a comparable HRIS is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable maintaining a visible presence throughout the facility and building strong working relationships with production employees, supervisors, and leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
