Facilities Attendant / Custodian – Evening Closing Shift

 

Pay: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:30 PM – 9:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time

 

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Facilities Attendant to join our evening closing team. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, safety, and security of our recreation facilities, fitness areas, locker rooms, pools, and outdoor grounds.

The ideal candidate takes pride in creating a clean and welcoming environment for members and guests while ensuring the facility is properly secured at the end of each shift.

 

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, common areas, and activity spaces
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain floors throughout the facility
• Clean mirrors, windows, glass doors, fitness equipment, and other surfaces
• Empty trash and recycling containers
• Restock restroom and facility supplies as needed
• Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of pool, spa, and recreation areas
• Straighten furniture and ensure all public spaces are organized and presentable
• Perform routine facility inspections and closing procedures
• Turn off lights, lock doors, secure gates, and ensure buildings are properly closed
• Conduct final interior and exterior walkthroughs to ensure safety and security

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting
• Previous custodial, janitorial, or facility maintenance experience preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors (mostly indoors)
• Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and standing during shifts
