IT Support Specialist

Pay: $28.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Position Type: Temporary opportunity with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Support Specialist to provide technical support and maintain the company's technology infrastructure. This position will support both office and field employees, ensuring systems, networks, and devices remain secure, reliable, and operational.

IT Support & Help Desk

  • Provide day-to-day technical support for office and field employees.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and network connectivity.
  • Set up new employee workstations, user accounts, email access, and equipment.
  • Install, configure, and update software applications.
  • Manage user permissions, account access, and password resets.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to help desk requests.

Network & Infrastructure

  • Maintain company networks, internet connectivity, Wi-Fi, and VPN access.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Manage and support firewalls, switches, and routers.
  • Coordinate with internet and telecommunications service providers.
  • Ensure system reliability, uptime, and performance.

Cybersecurity

  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices.
  • Manage antivirus software, endpoint protection, and security updates.
  • Monitor systems for security threats and suspicious activity.
  • Administer multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions.
  • Assist with cybersecurity insurance and compliance requirements.

Hardware Management

  • Procure and maintain inventory of computers, monitors, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Manage hardware lifecycle planning and replacement schedules.
  • Coordinate equipment repairs, maintenance, and warranty claims.
  • Maintain company-issued phones and tablets.

Data Management & Backups

  • Maintain and organize company data storage systems.
  • Monitor backup processes and conduct recovery testing.
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Safeguard confidential and sensitive company information.

Field Technology Support

  • Provide technical support to foremen and project managers using tablets and mobile devices.
  • Assist with GPS vehicle tracking systems and related technologies.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot dash camera systems.
  • Support electronic timekeeping and field reporting applications.
  • Resolve connectivity and technology issues at remote job sites.

Documentation & Training

  • Maintain network diagrams and IT documentation.
  • Document company technology standards and procedures.
  • Develop user guides and training materials.
  • Keep technology asset inventories accurate and current.

Qualifications

  • Experience providing IT support in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, networking, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and support both office and remote users.

This is a temporary position paying $28.00 per hour, with an opportunity for permanent employment based on performance and business needs.
