A Hands On Role With Real Mechanical Variety
We are working with a well established Canadian manufacturer that produces professional cleaning and janitorial products used across North America. Their operation runs a wide mix of specialized production equipment, and they are looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic who enjoys hands on troubleshooting, machine rebuilds, and keeping production running at a high level.
This is not a repetitive maintenance role. You will work across custom engineered machinery, printing systems, sewing equipment, and production support systems where no two breakdowns are the same.
Training will be provided on company specific and customized machinery.
Equipment You Will Work On
You will gain exposure to a diverse and unique range of production equipment, including:
• Borghi industrial sewing machines
• Custom built manufacturing machinery
• Pad printing systems
• Bottle silk screen printing machines
• Air compressor systems
• Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Injection molding related equipment
• General production and facility support equipment
What You Will Be Doing
• Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues
• Tear down, diagnose, repair, rebuild, and reassemble machinery
• Perform machine setups, changeovers, and equipment commissioning
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement long term fixes
• Support production teams with technical troubleshooting on the floor
• Conduct routine inspections to prevent downtime before it happens
• Maintain and service compressors and supporting plant systems
• Assist with equipment installation and modifications
• Keep maintenance areas organized, safe, and functional
• Work closely with production to improve equipment reliability and uptime
What We Are Looking For
• Minimum 4 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair ability
• Hands on experience dismantling, rebuilding, and servicing industrial machinery
• Experience with machine setup, alignment, and changeovers
• Comfort working with pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Basic understanding of electrical troubleshooting is an asset
• Experience with printing equipment, sewing machines, or custom machinery is a strong advantage
• Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, and equipment documentation
• Strong problem solving mindset and ability to work independently
• Valid Ontario G driver’s licence with clean driving record
• DZ licence considered an asset
• Willingness to support occasional weekend maintenance when required
Why This Role Stands Out
This is a hands on maintenance role with real technical variety. You will not be stuck on a single machine type or repetitive PM cycle. Instead, you will work across custom machinery, production systems, and specialized equipment that requires real diagnostic thinking and mechanical skill.
You will also receive training on proprietary equipment unique to this operation, giving you exposure to systems not commonly found in most manufacturing environments.
This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys solving problems, rebuilding equipment, and understanding how machines actually work.
What’s In It For You
• $38.00/hour+ (negotiable for the right candidate)
• Full time, stable employment with an established Canadian manufacturer
• Exposure to unique and custom production machinery
• Training provided on specialized equipment
• Opportunity to make a direct impact on production uptime and efficiency
• Supportive and collaborative maintenance environment
• Long term career stability in a growing operation
