Medical Intake Coordinator

A local medical facility is seeking a qualified, compassionate full-time Medical Intake Coordinator to perform a variety of tasks to help keep things running smoothly. We are looking for someone that is motivated, organized and reliable. And when working with the public, one must have excellent people skills!

Responsibilities:

As a Medical Intake Coordinator you will be responsible for greeting patients & confirming insurance details. Top priority of the position is insurance verifications. You will also perform other duties including, but not limited to scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out and collecting/posting co-payments. Additional duties will be scanning registration information, managing files confirming pertinent information in charts for upcoming appointments and performing prior authorizations for prescriptions. A HIPAA exam will be administered.

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or the equivalent.
• At least one year of previous work experience in a medical facility, with insurance verification
• Be neat, well groomed, and have a courteous, pleasant manner
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good customer service and problem solving skills
• Clerical skills including word processing and filing
• Must be able to multi-task

Evaluation-to-hire position

Hours are Monday through Friday – 8:00am to 5:00pm. Pay rate is $18.00/hour
