Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and motivated Groundskeeper/Maintenance Technician to help maintain the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of our apartment community. This position is responsible for maintaining the grounds, completing routine maintenance tasks, assisting with apartment turns, and responding to resident maintenance requests. The ideal candidate is hands-on, customer service oriented, and takes pride in keeping the community clean, safe, and well maintained.

Essential Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the community, including grounds, breezeways, parking areas, amenities, and common areas.
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and carpentry.
Complete apartment turns by preparing vacant units for new residents.
Respond to maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner.
Assist with preventive maintenance on buildings and community equipment.
Operate landscaping equipment and maintenance tools safely.
Report safety hazards and recommend necessary repairs.
Provide excellent customer service while interacting with residents and vendors.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Previous apartment maintenance, property maintenance, or general maintenance experience preferred.
Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and carpentry repairs.
Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
HVAC/EPA Certification is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs throughout the shift.
