Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Painter to join our collision repair team. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing high-quality finishes, has experience with vehicle preparation and paint application, and thrives in a fast-paced body shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, cleaning, and priming.
• Mix paint to manufacturer specifications and accurately match vehicle colors.
• Apply primer, base coat, and clear coat using professional spray equipment.
• Inspect painted surfaces for quality and correct imperfections through buffing or polishing.
• Maintain paint booth cleanliness and follow all safety procedures.
• Collaborate with body technicians to meet production schedules.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and paint inventory.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive painting experience in a collision repair or body shop.
• Knowledge of paint preparation, refinishing, and color matching.
• Experience using spray guns and paint booth equipment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Preferred Experience

• Waterborne or solvent-based paint systems.
• Collision repair environment.
• Buffing and polishing experience.
• I-CAR or OEM training is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Stand for extended periods.
• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Work safely while wearing required PPE.
