Administrative and Member Services Coordinator
Located in Sarnia, ON
Salary: $25.00 - $30.00/Hour
The Administrative & Member Services Coordinator provides administrative, operational, and member support to ensure the efficient day-to-day functioning of the organization. This role serves as the primary point of contact for members, unions, contractors, and industry partners while supporting labor relations, reporting, communications, and office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for members, unions, contractors, and industry partners, providing professional and timely customer service
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and manage daily front-office operations
- Maintain organized filing systems, databases, and confidential documentation
- Prepare and maintain wage sheets and labor relations documentation for multiple unions
- Perform wage calculations, labor reporting, workforce tracking, and data analysis
- Assist with shutdown planning, workforce coordination, and industry reporting
- Coordinate meetings, training sessions, and large-scale industry events
- Update website content, maintain member directories, and prepare and distribute newsletters and other communications
- Create and maintain reports, spreadsheets, databases, and other administrative documents using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access
- Support special projects and perform other administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Postsecondary education in Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in an administrative or office coordination role, preferably in a unionized, construction, or industrial environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Microsoft 365
- Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with labor relations, payroll, workforce reporting, or union administration is considered an asset
