Role Overview
We are hiring a Senior Estimator to support pre-construction and bid development for commercial and institutional construction projects. This is a full-time, office-based role within a General Contractor environment, focused on delivering accurate, competitive bids across multiple projects.

Requirements

• 5–10+ years of Canadian construction estimating experience
• Must have experience working for a General Contractor (non-negotiable)
• Experience with commercial and/or institutional construction projects
• Proven ability to complete full-cycle estimating (take-offs, pricing, bid submissions)
• Proficiency in Bluebeam and BuildConnect
• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
• Solid understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and subcontractor coordination
• Very strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and mathematical skills

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Construction Management (CM) and Design-Build projects
• Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) designation
• Experience mentoring or supporting junior estimators
• Post-secondary education in construction, engineering, or estimating

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle bid preparation, including quantity take-offs, pricing, and subcontractor coordination
• Prepare and submit accurate, competitive estimates across multiple projects
• Use Bluebeam and BuildConnect to manage tendering, documentation, and bid tracking
• Maintain and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing databases
• Support RFPs, RFQs, and Design-Build/CM proposals
• Participate in pre-construction meetings and client discussions
• Conduct post-bid reviews and continuous improvement processes
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across all estimating deliverables
