Job Description

 

The company is seeking a Land Tech to report to, and work directly with, the land management team in Morgantown, WV. The company’s growth necessitates the addition of a team member who can work independently and in a team environment. The individual will provide administrative support that ensures quality workflow processes and efficient land operations in our Morgantown office. They will coordinate with land optimization, land acquisitions, and title teams in a support role.

 

Responsibilities:

· Maintain the chain of custody for processing and filing documents.

· Archive department files in a neat and efficient manner.

· Initiate check and wire requests.

· Record documents in various counties.

· Compile and review reports.

· Document preparation and QA /QC of land documents.

· Input relevant information into a database and/or excel.

· Communicate effectively with managers, landmen and outside brokers.

· Meet project deadlines and balance priorities according to moving deadlines.

· Research information based on geographic locations.

· Submission of orders to vendors.

· Be aware of projects needing support.

· Support the land team as needed.

 

Mandatory Requirements

· Self-starter

· Highly organized

· 2yrs related experience

· Have effective written and verbal communication skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a significant focus on excel

· Experience in Adobe Acrobat

· Ability to react to changing priorities and tasks throughout a project lifecycle

 

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

· Bachelor’s or Associates Degree

· Familiar with Oil and Gas land contracts.

· AAPL membership

· MLBC membership

· Experience with GIS

· WV Notary
