Salary: $20.00 to $27.00 an hour (DOE)

Express Employment of Downey is currently seeking a QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR for a metal plating company in the city of Bell Gardens, CA.

PAY: $20.00 to $27.00 an hour (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)

SHIFTS: morning and afternoon schedules available

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: long-term/permanent hire

Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience in a quality inspector role REQUIRED (FOOD QUALITY INSPECTION NOT APPLICABLE)
• Must have knowledge of inspection equipment generally found in machining, assembly, and test operations
• MS Office proficiency
• Excellent communication (verbal and written)
• Basic math skills - able to add, subtract, multiply, divide
• Strong familiarity using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, tri-roll gauges, thread wires and x-ray equipment

Responsibilities:

• Set up, calibrate, and utilize x-ray for the purpose of taking plating thickness measurements and determining the ratio components deposited for alloy plating processes
• Interpret and apply customer requirements, government and military standards, and industry specification for the inspection of customer product
• Perform in process and final inspection of parts/products
• Maintain records and data supporting quality control inspection activities
• Conduct all mechanical measurements applying prescribed inspection methods and standards
• Other duties as assigned
