Groundskeeper

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Mow, edge, trim, and maintain lawns, fairways, roughs, landscaped areas, and other turf surfaces.
• Plant, prune, weed, mulch, and care for trees, shrubs, flowers, and ornamental plants.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers, chainsaws, and other grounds maintenance tools.
• Assist with irrigation system operation, monitoring, repairs, and adjustments.
• Remove leaves, debris, litter, and fallen branches from grounds, walkways, parking lots, and common areas.
• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, and other treatments in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Perform routine inspections of grounds and report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Assist with seasonal projects including landscaping improvements, aeration, overseeding, snow or ice removal (if applicable), and storm cleanup.
• Maintain equipment by cleaning, fueling, inspecting, and reporting needed repairs.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies.
• Support special events by preparing and maintaining outdoor spaces as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity to safely operate equipment and hand tools.

Work Environment

• Primarily outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Exposure to loud equipment, dust, chemicals, pollen, insects, and uneven terrain.
• May require early mornings, weekends, holidays, and overtime during peak seasons.
