We are seeking experienced, mechanically inclined individuals to join our team in a hands-on industrial shop environment. Candidates should have previous experience working in manufacturing, fabrication, industrial maintenance, construction, automotive repair, or another skilled trade where they have developed strong mechanical aptitude and experience using shop tools and equipment.
This position supports a variety of shop operations including precision metal fabrication, cylinder deconstruction, sandblasting, equipment rebuilding, material preparation, and general fabrication. Successful candidates are dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform disassembly and teardown of industrial cylinders and mechanical components
- Assist with precision metal fabrication, cutting, grinding, fitting, and material preparation
- Operate hand tools, power tools, air tools, and other shop equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform sandblasting and surface preparation for repair and finishing processes
- Read tape measures, follow shop drawings, and accurately measure materials
- Move materials using forklifts or other lifting equipment as needed
- Maintain production quality standards while meeting daily production goals
- Inspect completed work for accuracy and quality
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Perform additional fabrication and shop support duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1 year of recent experience in manufacturing, fabrication, industrial maintenance, machine operation, construction, automotive repair, welding, or a similar mechanical field
- Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely use common shop tools
- Experience using grinders, drills, saws, impact tools, and measuring devices
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic shop math
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work in a physically demanding environment
- Strong attendance record and reliable transportation
