One of our clients in Bend, OR is seeking an experienced Cabinet Installer to join their team. 📋 Job Description
Perform cabinet installation, quality control inspections, and maintain job site cleanliness while ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to company standards.
✅ Responsibilities & Duties
🔹 Read and understand blueprint drawings and written specifications.
🔹 Review and understand work orders, change orders, and all other related job documents.
🔹 Assist the Lead Carpenter on job sites and promptly report discrepancies or special job-site conditions.
🔹 Utilize job-specific tools to install cabinetry, hardware, trim, and related components.
🔹 Maintain a safe, organized, and clean job site at all times.
🔹 Provide and maintain personal work gear and hand tools. Cabinet subcontractors generally provide most power tools, with the possible exception of a screw gun.
🔹 Assist with and oversee deliveries and installation of cabinetry and materials.
🔹 Work closely with other trades, completing installations after plumbers, electricians, and drywall installers have finished their work.
🔹 Remove and secure all tools and materials at the end of each workday.
🔹 Measure and cut cabinet bases, pedestals, housings, shelves, doors, drawers, and tops as needed.
🔹 Assemble cabinet components and securely affix them to walls and designated locations.
🔹 Install shelves, pedestals, cabinet shells, countertops, hinges, drawer slides, and handles.
🔹 Ensure cabinet tops are smooth, level, and ready for countertop installation.
🔹 Perform finishing work to ensure all visible wood surfaces meet customer expectations and company quality standards.
🔹 Clean up sawdust, scrap materials, packaging, and debris daily; vacuum and dust work areas before leaving the site.
🔹 Remain prepared for customers or supervisors to review project progress at any time.
🔹 Adapt to changing responsibilities as the company grows and business needs evolve.
🔹 Support team members and assist in other areas as needed.
🔹 Manage timekeeping, including clocking in and out for work and breaks.
🔹 Report directly to the Field Supervisor.
🔹 Maintain a positive, professional, and motivated attitude.
✔ Qualifications
🔨 Previous cabinet installation experience required.
🔨 Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.
🔨 Proficient with hand tools and installation equipment.
🔨 Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
🔨 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
🔨 Reliable transportation and strong work ethic.
🔨 Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
