Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Inside Sales Representative to join our Products team. In this role, you will analyze customer requirements, recommend gaging solutions, prepare quotations, and provide exceptional customer support throughout the sales process. This position is ideal for someone with a background in machine shop operations or mechanical manufacturing who enjoys combining technical knowledge with customer service.

Essential Job Duties

• Review customer requirements for applications and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Consult with engineering and manufacturing teams regarding the feasibility of custom applications.
• Gather technical documentation from internal and external sources to prepare accurate customer quotations.
• Present quotes to customers and proactively follow up on quotes and sales opportunities.
• Review customer orders after entry to ensure accuracy.
• Provide technical support and basic troubleshooting; escalate complex issues as needed.
• Assist customers by providing order status updates and coordinating requests with internal departments.
• Relay customer feedback to the appropriate supervisors to improve products and service.
• Accurately track attendance and time using the company's ERP system.
• Maintain accurate records and complete work in a timely manner.
• Follow all company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, engineering, and manufacturing personnel.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of machine shop operations and mechanical design.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and ERP systems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Trade school or college coursework is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in manufacturing, machining, metrology, or industrial sales.
• Basic understanding of gaging products and applications.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to work in both an office and manufacturing environment as needed.
