We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, proficiency with CNC machinery, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints. This role involves operating various machining equipment, performing precision measurements, and contributing to the production of high-quality components. The Manual Machinist plays a vital role in ensuring manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently, supporting our commitment to excellence in engineering and fabrication.

Duties

  • Operate manual and CNC machining equipment such as CNC lathes and CNC milling machines with precision and safety.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models using SolidWorks or similar software.
  • Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls and basic CNC programming skills to produce complex parts.
  • Set up machines, select appropriate tools, and perform tooling changes using hand tools and power tools.
  • Measure finished parts with calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to ensure specifications are met.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machining equipment and troubleshoot mechanical issues as needed.
  • Follow safety protocols including proper use of PPE, welding procedures, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Assist in assembly processes when required, utilizing hand tools, welding equipment, and forklifts for material handling.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of machining processes, measurements, and quality checks.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or in a similar manufacturing role with knowledge of machining operations.
  • Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in blueprint reading, CAD design, and manufacturing standards.
  • Proficiency with CNC programming using Fanuc controls; experience with CNC lathe and CNC milling machines is essential.
  • Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and forklifts.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
  • Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and machine setups.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.

Experience:

  • Manual Machinist : 2 years (required)
  • Milling machine: 3 years (preferred)
  • Lathe machine: 3 years (preferred)
