Production Operator

Location: Eau Claire, WI
Pay: $23.00/hour
Schedule: 2-2-3 Rotating Schedule (12-hour shifts)

Our client in Eau Claire, WI is seeking dependable and motivated Production Operators to join their growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with manufacturing experience who enjoy working with automated equipment in a clean, fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated production equipment to manufacture products safely and efficiently
• Load raw materials and adjust machine settings according to production requirements
• Monitor equipment performance using computerized machine interfaces (PLC/HMI)
• Perform machine setups, changeovers, and material splicing
• Conduct routine quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications
• Identify and troubleshoot basic machine issues
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and keep equipment clean
• Complete production paperwork accurately
• Communicate production updates during shift changes
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Lean Manufacturing principles
• Assist with inventory counts and help train new operators as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing, production, machine operator, or factory experience
• At least 2 years of consecutive employment with one employer
• Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
• Ability to read work instructions and use standard and metric measuring tools
• Basic math and computer skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Willingness to work overtime or alternate shifts when needed

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for the duration of a 12-hour shift
• Lift, push, pull, and move materials throughout the day
• Perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment
• Wear required personal protective equipment, including hearing protection

Schedule & Pay

• Starting Pay: $23.00/hour
• 2-2-3 rotating schedule
  • Work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days
  • The following week: off 2 days, work 2 days, off 3 days
  • Enjoy every other weekend off
