Lab Technician

Located in Lufkin, TX

Salary: $23.00-$24.00 DOE

Essential Tasks / Duties (this list is not all-inclusive; other tasks may be assigned as required by management):

Based on established procedures, to perform laboratory tests on raw materials, in process samples and finished goods.

To perform non-routine analyses and provide customer support as required.

To operate specialized test equipment specific to product in accordance to
established procedure and perform tests accurately to insure reproducibility.

To enter test data into company lab information management systems and produce
certificates of analysis and / or statistical analyses as required.

To purchase, maintain and obtain adequate inventory of lab supplies for testing and
work area.

To ensure neat, clean and safe conditions within the work area.

To be responsible for accuracy and preciseness of data presented.

To maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation.

To perform non-routine analysis, undertake other research, QC and QA activities as assigned by the Technical Manager.

To prepare customer samples and coordinate dispatch.

Qualifications / experience:

Qualifications / Education

Four-year college degree in chemistry or similar discipline preferred.

Experience.

Previous experience with chemical analytical techniques preferred, especially GC or HPLC.

Personal Attributes

Must be an effective team player, well organized, motivated and detail-oriented.

 Must be able to work any day of the week.
