Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our operations team. The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating industrial forklifts to organize the yard, move materials, clean containers, and load and unload containers for shipment. This role plays a key part in maintaining an organized, efficient, and safe work environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Safely operate an industrial forklift to transport, stack, and organize containers and materials throughout the yard.
• Maintain an organized yard by placing containers and materials in designated locations.
• Clean containers to meet company quality and operational standards.
• Inspect containers for damage and report any maintenance concerns.
• Load and unload containers accurately and efficiently while ensuring cargo is properly secured.
  
  
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous forklift operating experience required.
• Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
• Experience in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb on and off forklifts and access containers safely.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Sufficient vision and hearing to safely operate equipment and maintain awareness of the work environment.
