Express Employment Professionals is hiring a MIG Welder for a well-established custom metal fabrication shop. This is a great opportunity for someone with welding or metal fabrication experience who enjoys producing quality work in a clean, organized manufacturing environment.

This position focuses on welding the same components for an ongoing production project, making it ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and able to maintain consistent quality throughout repetitive production work. Candidates who have recently completed a vocational or technical welding program are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Set up MIG welding equipment for each job or according to welding procedures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Perform MIG welding on steel, aluminum, and stainless steel components.
  • Assemble, align, and fasten metal components according to specifications.
  • Verify dimensions and product specifications using measuring tools.
  • Inspect finished welds to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout the production process.
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Assist with other fabrication and production duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous MIG welding or metal fabrication experience required.
  • Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Ability to accurately use tape measures, calipers, angle gauges, and other measuring tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proven reliability and stable work history.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds on a consistent basis.
