Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a Maintenance Supervisor / Maintenance Team Leader position with a preferred industrial employer in the Alcoa, Tennessee area.
Available Shift Options:
• Option 1: Night Shift, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, rotating 3-2-2-3 schedule.
• Option 2: Night Shift, 5:30 PM to 5:30 AM, rotating 2-3-2 schedule.
Pay: $40.00 to $43.00 per hour
Position Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading maintenance, craft, and production personnel while ensuring a safe, productive, and efficient operation. This role provides hands on leadership, technical support, and coordination of maintenance activities while driving continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and promote a strong culture of environmental, health, and safety excellence.
• Supervise maintenance and production personnel, providing coaching, guidance, and accountability.
• Coordinate and oversee electrical and mechanical maintenance activities.
• Execute planned and unplanned maintenance work to meet operational goals.
• Schedule work assignments, manage staffing needs, and coordinate overtime as necessary.
• Monitor equipment performance and production activities to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Coordinate repair activities with internal customers to ensure timely resolution of equipment issues.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems and support technical problem solving efforts.
• Lead root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Facilitate shift meetings and communicate operational priorities and business objectives.
• Support continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and process improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain standard work procedures and best practices.
• Enforce company policies, safety procedures, and workplace standards.
• Provide on call support for critical maintenance situations when required.
• Utilize Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.
Qualifications
Required:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Minimum 3 years of maintenance supervisory experience with direct reports.
• Experience leading employees in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem solving abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred:
• Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in a technical field.
• Experience in heavy industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, and industrial maintenance systems.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Union supervisory experience.
• Experience using Oracle or similar maintenance management systems.
