Job Title: Slitter Operator 
City and State: McHenry, IL
Pay Rate: $19-20/hour
Schedule/Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Employment Type: Evaluation to Hire
Summary:
Operate slitting equipment to meet production orders while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate slitting machines according to production orders and specifications
  • Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues with tension, cut quality, and equipment function
  • Inspect product quality, detect defects, and accurately record material usage and scrap
  • Communicate with team members and leadership to coordinate workflow and material needs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety procedures
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment (slitting experience preferred)
  • Ability to read production orders, perform basic math, and accurately use a tape measure
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to record data accurately
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks including pushing and pulling materials
