Assembly Technician – Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Overtime as needed/To Be Determined)

We are seeking a motivated Assembly Technician to support the assembly, testing, and inspection of innovative Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with manufacturing or assembly experience who are looking to grow their career in the renewable energy and battery storage industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble battery modules, battery packs, and BESS enclosures following work instructions and engineering drawings. 
• Install electrical, mechanical, and thermal management components. 
• Perform torque-controlled fastening operations and verify results. 
• Route and secure cables, harnesses, and connectors.
• Install Battery Management System (BMS) components and associated electronics. 
• Conduct visual inspections and basic electrical testing. 
• Identify and document defects, non-conformances, and quality issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area using 5S principles. 
• Support production goals, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-training efforts. 

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED. 
• 1–3 years of manufacturing, assembly, or production experience. 
• Ability to read assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings. 
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and torque tools.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and manufacturing systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Preferred:

• Experience with lithium-ion batteries, EVs, or energy storage products. 
• Electrical assembly experience. 
• IPC-A-610 familiarity. 
• ESD handling experience.
• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
