Important Work Environment Information

This position works on a cold production line. Candidates must be comfortable working in refrigerated conditions for extended periods while maintaining productivity, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Job Summary

We are looking for reliable and hardworking Machine Operators to join our production team. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity with consistent hours and long-term career potential. The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a cold manufacturing environment while operating production equipment and supporting packaging operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Follow all safety rules, regulations, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Set up, change over, adjust, troubleshoot, repair, and operate production machinery and equipment.
• Ensure equipment is operating properly and ready for production startup.
• Monitor product flow and make machine adjustments as needed to maintain efficiency and quality.
• Perform process control checks and quality inspections.
• Operate date coders and verify code dates on products and cases.
• Report equipment issues, quality concerns, and production challenges to supervisors.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA, facility safety regulations, and company procedures.
• Clean and sanitize equipment using approved sanitation practices.
• Assist Quality Assurance with product sampling and other assigned duties.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Basic English communication skills required.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Previous manufacturing, machine operating, or production experience is preferred but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 13 hours when required.
• Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and other physical activities throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in temperature conditions ranging from -30°F to 176°F, where applicable.
• Must be comfortable working in a cold production and assembly-line environment for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to perform moderate physical activity, including continuous standing for 10–13 hours.

Requirements

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Must pass a 7-year criminal background check.
• Must be available to train on 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) for 30–60 days before transitioning to 2nd Shift.
