Lube Technician

Department: Fleet Maintenance
Reports To: Shop Foreman / Fleet Manager
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Pay: $23.00–$26.00/hour DOE

Position Summary

The Lube Technician performs preventative maintenance on company trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. Responsibilities include lubrication services, oil and filter changes, inspections, fluid checks, and identifying maintenance issues requiring repair while maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship.

Essential Duties

• Perform preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment.
• Complete oil changes, lubrication services, and filter replacements.
• Check, replenish, and service all required fluids.
• Inspect tires, brakes, lights, hoses, hydraulic systems, and other components for wear or damage.
• Report maintenance issues and assist mechanics with repair needs.
• Accurately document maintenance and inspection results.
• Maintain maintenance records, parts inventory, and a clean, safe work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with preventative maintenance on trucks, heavy equipment, agricultural, or automotive vehicles preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred or ability to obtain.
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles and equipment.
