Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues in electric motors using schematics, testing tools, and diagnostic equipment
• Repair or replace faulty components such as windings, brushes, bearings, and stators with precision and care
• Perform routine maintenance on electric motors to prevent future failures and extend service life
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other specialized tools to execute repairs efficiently
• Read and interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate troubleshooting and repairs
• Conduct diesel engine repairs when applicable to auxiliary systems supporting electric motor operation
• Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed, and parts used for accountability and future reference
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations while delivering excellent customer service

Requirements

• Proven dealership or service technician experience working with electric motors or related machinery
• Strong background in automotive repair, equipment repair, generator repair, or heavy machinery maintenance
• Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, soldering techniques, welding processes, and mechanical troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy-duty machinery is highly desirable
• Knowledge of diesel engine repair combined with electrical expertise enhances versatility in this role
• Demonstrated ability to lift heavy components safely during maintenance tasks
• Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and communication

Schedule & Pay
