This Manufacturing – Metal Polisher position is perfect for someone who enjoys detailed, hands‑on work and takes pride in producing high‑quality metal components. You’ll refine and finish metal parts, support fabrication, machining, and assembly teams, and ensure products meet strict specifications. If you’re mechanically inclined, comfortable in a warehouse or production environment, and familiar with metalworking tools or welding‑related processes, this role offers a strong long‑term opportunity.

Key Duties

  • Metal polishing — Operate polishing equipment and hand tools to achieve smooth, high‑quality finishes.
  • Precision inspection — Inspect components using calipers, micrometers, and other quality tools.
  • Surface preparation — Clean, deburr, and remove imperfections before polishing.
  • Machining collaboration — Work with CNC operators, machinists, and fabrication teams to meet finish requirements.
  • Machine setup — Assist with setup and calibration of polishing machines, including CNC polishing systems.
  • Material handling — Safely move materials using forklifts or other equipment.
  • Documentation — Record quality checks and production progress for traceability.
  • Continuous training — Learn new polishing techniques and machinery such as press brakes or stamping presses.

Qualifications

  • Proven factory or production experience in metal finishing, machining, fabrication, or welding environments.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC programming (Fanuc, CAM), CAD design (SolidWorks), and GD&T.
  • Familiarity with CNC mills, CNC lathes, stamping presses, press brakes, and welding equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, QC instruments).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude related to tooling setup, fabrication, materials handling, and assembly operations.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
