Local chemical company seeking QC Lab Analyst. 

Associates must be able to work a Dupont schedule, 12 hour shifts, days, nights, weekends and holidays.  Must also be able to work overtime and cover other employees during illness or vacation.

Shifts 6a-6p or 6p-6a

Example of a Dupont Schedule 

Week 1: 4 consecutive night shifts, followed by 3 days off
Week 2: 3 day shifts, 1 day off, then 3 consecutive night shifts
Week 3: 3 days off, followed by 4 consecutive day shifts
Week 4: 7 consecutive days off

The Roles, Responsibilities and Expectations for this position are as follows:

• Understands and follows all EH&S Policies and Procedures and the role related to compliance for the site
• Perform tests and monitors lab equipment including, but not limited to Melt Indexers, X-Ray, NMR, and FTIR
• Record analytical data accurately and timely
• Perform quality control analysis on plastic pellet samples on manufacturing and shipment samples
• Be organize, manage time and work with well lab partner to conduct tests and ensure timely reporting of results
• Record lab data legibly in log books and clipboards
• Follow good lab practices at all times
• Follow written and verbal instructions to perform need tests and record data
• Follow all OSHA requirements and other safety procedures
• Follow good housekeeping practices, including, correcting or reporting to supervision immediately any unsafe condition or practice

 

WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:                                              

• Strong commitment to integrity and environmental, safety and quality compliance
• Ability to maintain accurate and clear records with attention to detail 
• Strong computer skills in Windows, Word and Excel
• Strong communication skills – verbal and written
• Ability to multitask 
• Strong math skills at a 12th grade level
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally and 30 lbs frequently

 

                                                                                                                      

EDUCATION REQUIRED:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

                                                              

WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILLS PREFERRED:                                           

• Previous laboratory experience

• Associates or Bachelors Degree
