Job Title: Tool Builder (Direct Hire)

Pay: Competitive, based on experience
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:45 PM; Saturday 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Classification: Direct Hire

We are seeking a skilled Tool Builder to join a growing team in a hands-on manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who can interpret technical drawings and independently build tools to meet quality and production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, BOMs, and statements of work
• Plan and execute tool builds using proper fabrication methods and sequences
• Perform drilling, tapping, reaming, and dowel installation
• Operate Bridgeport mills, surface grinders, and other shop equipment
• Complete finishing tasks such as deburring, paint prep, and material identification
• Ensure work is completed on time and meets quality expectations
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of tool building and machining processes
• Ability to work from technical drawings and engineering specifications
• Self-motivated with strong teamwork and communication skills
• Must supply own tools (drills, grinders, toolbox, etc.)

Equipment Used:

• Hand and power tools
• Bridgeport mill and surface grinder
• Hi-lo (forklift) and overhead crane

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Frequent lifting, bending, twisting, and movement
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Good hand-eye coordination
